Adobe created a document format so that anyone having any platform or type of computing system could read a document in their Portable Document Format, or PDF. That may have been a very wise move for Adobe. Everyone is, or will become, familiar with PDFs.
But you don’t need to buy an expensive Adobe product to create PDF documents.
Adobe has created a site where you can create a few PDFs for free. All you do is sign up and have a Word document ready, then browse to it on your computer. You can choose to have the new PDF emailed to you as well as open it right in your browser to save to your hard drive.
