Download IrfanView – an image-viewer program that you can download today for free.
Once you have IrfanView installed on your PC, open IrfanView. Open the image you want to send by email and hit ctrl-r or click the image menu and then choose resize/resample. You’ll be given a window where you can modify the size of the picture in several ways. An easy fix is to the click the radio button that indicates the size of the image you want, like 640 by 480 pixels, or just click “half” to reduce the file size in half!
Save the new image as a copy of the original and email the copy! Have fun and cut out the waiting for things to download syndrome.
